We’re proud to share that Western Bay Bricklayers & Block layers has achieved SiteWise Green accreditation for 2026.

For us, it’s more than another certificate to put on the wall. It’s recognition of the systems and processes we have in place to keep our team, clients and other trades safe while we get on with doing what we do best — delivering quality brick and blockwork.

What does SiteWise Green mean?

SiteWise is a contractor prequalification system that assesses a company’s health and safety capability.

To achieve a SiteWise Green rating, contractors must achieve 75% or higher in their annual health and safety assessment, demonstrating that quality health and safety systems and processes are in place. The assessment covers areas such as hazard management, training and qualifications, site inspections, incident reporting and worker engagement.

For our clients, it provides independent recognition that health and safety isn't something we simply talk about — we have systems behind it.

Why does that matter on a building site?

Bricklaying and block laying are hands-on trades. We're working with heavy materials, machinery, cutting equipment, scaffolding and constantly changing construction sites.

Good health and safety comes down to doing the basics well, every day:

Plan properly. Identify the risks. Communicate clearly. Keep the site organised. Look after the team.
